Term 1 - Week 8

 

Dear Parents and Carers,

 

It was a great day on Campus today with the re-opening of the MPC. The Upper Junior School students have been waiting eagerly for this area to be safe and ready to use again.

 

Metro South Futsal Competition 

On Monday our Futsal students in Years 3 – 6 attended the Metro South Futsal Competition. Our students played well and showed great sportsmanship.

The Under 11 Boys, Under 9 Boys and Under 10 Girls will return on Monday for the Finals. Congratulations to these teams. We thank Mr Ocana, Mr Linning, Mr Barnes and Mrs Begbie for coaching our teams.

 

Volunteers

This is a reminder for parent volunteers.

  • Any parents who volunteer for any period of time must provide evidence of COVID vaccination status before they can volunteer on campus.
  • Any parents volunteering regularly (7+times), are also required to apply for a volunteer blue card. 
  • There are some options for parents who are not vaccinated to do some volunteer jobs at home.
  • If you wish to do access volunteering this way please let me know.

Our Parent Teacher interviews are coming up next week. Please ensure you have booked a time with your child’s teacher. Please make your bookings through Parent Lounge.

CAPA Update - Dr Gary Holley, Head of Calvary Academy of

Performing Arts

Another exciting week of music making at Carbrook. Our choir numbers are growing each week and we welcome anyone who would like to attend to join us at 7.45am on a Wednesday morning. The new strings and band ensembles are progressing well, and we are working towards our first performance in Term 2.

Is your child interested in learning Bass Guitar, Guitar or Singing? We have lesson times available at both campuses. Private Lessons are $38 per half hour and Group Lessons of 2 people are $19 per half hour (Subject to numbers) Use the following link if you would like to sign your child up for lessons.
