UPDATE

Carbrook Campus – limited opening (Thursday and Friday)

We would like to provide some certainty to parents and carers around what is happening for the remainder of the week.

We will move to our online learning model for Thursday and Friday and will provide onsite supervision of students whose parents need to be back at work. Given our accessibility issues and the water onsite, our preference is for parents to keep their children at home; however, we appreciate that many parents are required back in the workplace and will need to bring their children to school.

If you are planning on bringing your children to the College on Thursday and Friday, please understand that:

  • access to the College remains limited with road closures along Beenleigh-Redland Bay Road (if you travel to the school heading east along Beenleigh-Redland Bay Road, you will need to take a detour via California Creek Road and Carbrook Road to get to the College).

  • traffic is also currently very congested around the South-East due to numerous road closures so expect your school drop off/pick up to take significantly longer.

  • most of the College will be off-limits to students (anywhere past the Administration block will be out of bounds).

  • the Canteen will not be open.

  • the College bus service will not be running.

  • there is heavy rain predicted for Thursday and Friday.

The Junior School will continue to email work home each day – students who are at the College will complete the same work.

The Middle and Senior School will move to ZOOM lessons and will also email work for students who do not have stable internet connection.

Thank you for your patience in this difficult time.

Yours sincerely

Cherylynne Gostelow
