Term 1, Week 2

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are so excited about the official start of school on Monday. It has not been the same without you here on site. Please remember to bring all your stationary and books on the first day back. We also have an option of early drop off of these items tomorrow. Please see the details below.

Stationary Drop Off

As an option additional to Monday morning, students are welcome to drop off Stationary and Books on Friday and morning between 8.30am – 9am. There will be limited staff on campus, however, classrooms will be open. Please drop the packs to the student’s classroom and spend as limited time on campus as possible.

Year 3 – 6 Masks

As per the recommendation from the Queensland Government, students in Year 3 – 6 have the option of wearing a mask if they wish to. Please provide a mask for your child if this is your preference.

Covid Plan

Please take the time to refer to the attached document outlining Managing COVID-19 in the students Fact Sheet from our College Nurse, Mrs Jess Short.

First Day Back

On Monday it is our first day back officially for Term 1. Please be aware that parents’ time spent on campus should be limited. Please adhere to the latest recommendations regarding masks and social distancing.

Swimming Carnival

Our Swimming Carnival for Year 3 – 6 has been rescheduled 31 March 2022. We will keep you informed of any other changes to the Term Calendar.

Co-curricular and Clubs

We are excited about the opportunities we will have in the Co-curricular space this year. The Clubs schedule will come out next week in Thursday communications and we will start in Week 4.

Bus Service

The Bus Service will be running from the 7th February 2022.

Year 5 camp

Please find attached a letter for Year 5 camp. Camp will be on Wednesday 16 March - Friday 18 March 2022.

Changes to late arrivals and early departures

Students who are late arrivals will now need to sign in at the device in the front office (change from the back office). Early departures will also be monitored through the front office. If you are picking your child up early, you will need to pick them up in person from the front office.
